Hi folks,
I'm looking for a little advice on getting from Roseville to Ann Arbor. The Google tells me three non-highway routes: Michigan Ave, 8 Mile or 10 Mile. Any preferences here, or anyone have a better, secret route? (I'd be on a brand new 150, if the trip occurs, so no worries about the limits of my 50, but throttle variation would be a good thing. And not much traffic.) thanks! edit: the very kind people at Roseville Power Sports have offered not only to store what will soon be MY new bike for up to six months without charge, but also to deliver it most, if not all of the way here. If anyone has advice on this trip it'd still be appreciated as I will probably need to go up there for service at some point, but the info isn't nearly as pressing! I'll check with Owen for you to see if he has any better suggestions.

Thanks Bonnie. Speaking of a 150, is it true that I have to go all the way to CHELSEA to take the skills portion of the endorsement test? The SOS website lists only the Chelsea location (custom driving) and one in ypsi that has no web presence whatsoever (able testing co.) - anyone get their endorsement in the area have suggestions or preferences?
I was going to offer folks on here $20 to accompany me under my TIP, but that's probably really lowballing if you have to make an entire day of it... |

Chelsea is very accomodating, not to mention they have a Secretary of State just down the road after you pass your test. It's not *that* far! ;)

When I took my "road test" for my cycle endorsement I didnt have a 18+ y/o person with a cycle endorsement to accompany me. My tester said nothing about it.

Not that I would *ever* consider breaking any law ever, but this is very useful info. Thank you.

What 150 bike are you getting by the way?

You could go to Howell to take your test at the high school the guy is very good, that's where I took mine and others I know have gone to him.
As for the route to roseville 8 mile is a good route as well as 9 mile. Eight mile is a lot buzzer then 9 mile I have gone on both. I prefer 8 mile. |

Reviving this super-old post to say I got a Kymco Super 8 150 (red). Taking it up to Howell Powersports tomorrow for first service instead of Roseville because their hours are a little friendlier and it's easier for my partner to get to. Anyone have experience with the folks at Howell?
