[ Disclaimer: this is a very quick survey I am a part of for my graduate research class. If you could spare a few moments to answer I would greatly appreciate getting scooter people's input. -- Owen ]
With the world-wide recession has come a new cultural mindset: conspicuous consumption has given way to frugality, former necessities have become luxuries and indulgence feels more shameful than deserved. Consumers are looking to transport options that are both greener and more economical, ones that suit their more thrifty new lifestyle, with a particular emphasis on options such as carpooling. With this in mind, the question arises: in the face of tough economic times have you started to consider alternative methods of transportation, such as carpooling, to better suit your needs? I've invited you to fill out the form QNT/561 Commuter Information Survey. To fill it out, visit: http://spreadsheets.g... |

I looked at the survey, but there's no place to describe my particular situation. I'd love to carpool since I work 100 miles away from home. Even working part-time, I'm driving 600 miles a week. Unfortunately, no one I work with is in the same boat (or car).

I too looked at the survey but as a newspaper carrier logging close to 1000 miles a week it didn't fit into my situation. I am however working on options to use the scooter to do the route. I just need to figure out where to put the beagles so they can bark at, and chase off the deer.
